Well, I tried to make it to Mulege to meet friends on the annual dirt bike trip.  Because of my new job, I did not have the vacation time to go.  So I thought I would try to make it for dinner in Mulege.

I didn't make it. I rode the GS down to San Diego after work on Friday, then down to El Rosario Saturday morning. Problem was, I averaged a scant 40 mph for the first 250 miles, leaving me 400 miles to go with 4.5 hours of daylight, a bad headlight, and a bad idea.

I ate fish tacos at Mama Espinoza's, and regrettably turned back.

Such is life.

Day 1:  2:37pm - 10:12pm, Santa Clara, CA to San Diego, CA, 467 miles

Day 2: 6:17am - 5:27pm, San Diego, CA to El Rosario, BC to San Diego, 507 miles

Day 3: 9:27am - 4:34pm, San Diego, CA to San Francisco, CA, 498 miles
